After running a successful catering business, my children were born – I found myself struggling with the demand of working summers and weekends and decided to retrain. I gained a BSC in Forensic Science and an MSc in Palaeoanthropology. It was as a volunteer on a US Army archaeological dig that I discovered my passion for teaching. I joined Ramsden in 2014 and am now Assistant Head. I am a proud recipient of a STEM Award for Outstanding Science Teaching, winner of the 2020 Outstanding STEM Club award and an Education Business Award in 2021 for STEM provision. I was the first teacher in Nottinghamshire to have UN Climate Change Teacher accreditation.
