Yvonne is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts with a background in manufacturing and international consultancy. She established the STEM Ambassadors programme at STEMNET in 2002, where she was Chief Executive from 2005-2010. She sits on the National Science and Media Museum Board and the STFC Skills and Engagement Advisory Board, and is a governor of two secondary schools. She won the 2015 First Woman in Science award. Since 2010, Yvonne has been Chief Executive of the National STEM Learning Network which manages programmes supporting STEM education and skills, providing high-impact, subject-specific CPD. Further, STEM Ambassador Hubs work with 30,000 STEM Ambassadors to increase young people’s engagement with STEM subjects and careers. The Network’s eLibrary and resource centre provide those supporting young people in STEM with access to an unrivalled collection of quality-assured, curriculum-linked resources.
